About the Parsons Educational Foundation The Parsons Educational Foundation (PEF) strives to enrich education by supplementing publicly provided school resources with private funding. Family and community involvement in schools is encouraged through support of local education programs. We also support meaningful activities that foster excellence in academics, art, music, and all other aspects of education. We promote post-secondary education through a scholarship program, and facilitate productive, ongoing relationships between the District, alumni, and friends. A New Idea The Parsons Educational Foundation is a charitable, not-for-profit organization formed to enhance the learning opportunities of the students and adults of the Parsons Unified School District. The Foundation conducts operations according to official by-laws and is governed by a 15 member Board of Directors comprised of community volunteers. Our Mission The mission of the Parsons Educational Foundation is to secure and distribute resources for the purpose of preserving and improving public education in the Parsons Unified School District. Who Should Contribute? The Parsons Educational Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by tax law. We encourage businesses, parents, alumni, and other persons interested in enhancing the educational opportunities provided by the Parsons Unified School District to consider contributing.
